If you or someone you know has had their rights violated , or are a victim of some official abuse or misconduct. you can file a complaint with the JRC. Once a complaint is filed it goes to our investigators and advocates to determine weather we have cause to advocate or mot.
We track and record all complaints, but no complaint becomes a case without going through our investgative process. This process varies in time according to the complexity and the urgency of the case. It also depends on the amount of info provided us asnd how much we have to gather.
Remember we are a volunteer organization. If we help you we ask that you help us by volunteering time with the JRC. You can also set off the volunteering with a donation, but you must do one or both.
You can start the process by using the contact form or the complaint portal on the home page.
You can also email us directly at complaint@justicereformcoalition.org. Once we receive your initial complaint we will contact you about it. We also have a page with various types of more detailed complaint forms you can download and fill out, then email to us for review.
In the email include the following:
Once your email is received we will contact you by phone to discuss your problem. We will ask you questions about your situation in order to determine if we can advocate for you. Once we see a cause we will setup a meeting. At this meeting we ask you to bring copies of all the documentation and supporting evidence you have. We ask that you put them in a PDF document. This is to cut down on the paper we have and to make it easier for us to go over them and distribute them as needed.
You will discuss your complaint with our representatve(s). Once we accept your complaint we will have you fillout our investigation request form, and authorization form. Once all forms are filled out and signed we will begin investigation of your complaint. When we begin the initial investigation, we will keep you appraised of what we are doing. Any changes that occur to you during our investigation should be reported to the person working with you immediately so we are always on the same foot.Once we complete our investigation we will sit down with you and discuss our findings and make reccommendations as how to proceed from there. This is when the advocacy begins.
